Diving in Tikehau

It was in the lagoon of Tikehau that Jacques Cousteau said he had encountered more fish than in any other part of the South Pacific. Here you will see all types of large and small fish; Jack Fish, Sea-pike, Barracudas, Napoleon Wrasse as well as Gray Sharks and Manta Rays. July-December is the best time to encounter Manta Rays.

The Old Pearl Farm

Max Depth: From 45 feet
View: Overhanging coral, Lionfish, Moray Eels, Barracuda
Difficulty: All dive levels

La Bouée

Ocean dive: 30 min boat ride
Max Depth: 60 feet
View: Eagle Rays, Manta Rays, Tuna, Jackfish, barracudas, Big-Eye Trevallies, Blue Triggerfish, Javanese Moray Eels, Napoleon Wrasse, Turtles
Difficulty: A great dive for beginners

Tuheiava

Ocean dive: 30 min boat ride
Max Depth: From 45 feet
View: Large coral formations, a multitude of fish including Parrotfish, Triggerfish, Grouper, Moray Eels, Lionfish, Napoleon Wrasse and possibly Manta Rays
Difficulty: All dive levels

Ramu Ramu

Ocean dive: 40 min boat ride
Max Depth: 65 feet
View: Beautiful coral, white tip sharks, small gray sharks, black tip sharks
Difficulty: All dive levels

Sharks Hole

Ocean dive: 30 min boat ride
Max Depth: Starts at 65 feet and ends at 165 feet
View: Grey Sharks, Red, Yellow & Blue Snapper, Soldierfish, Anemones
Difficulty: Experienced divers

Teonai

Ocean dive: 30 min boat ride
Max Depth: From 45 feet
View: Large coral overhangs, lion fish, more eels, and schools of barracuda
Difficulty: All dive levels
